Today, I have traveled to 63 countries across 6 continents. From the ice mountains of Greenland to the sacred ruins of Machu Picchu, from Patagonia to Komodo, my journey is proof that dreams are possible with discipline, vision, and faith. These travels were not just for adventure — they became my classroom. Every step taught me something new about humanity, culture, and the divine purpose that connects us all.
My story is not about money or fame. It is about turning pain into purpose. Through my book The Seed of 60 Years and through the vision of the Legacy of Hope Memorial Hospital, I am building something larger than myself: a place for reconciliation, remembrance, and healing — a movement for peace.
I believe every life has a purpose. Mine is to serve, to inspire, and to remind others that no matter where you begin, you can rise, rebuild, and create a legacy that outlives you.
About Samuel T. Hassen — “Samuel World Traveler”
I was born in Ethiopia during a time of hardship and injustice. From an early age, I witnessed sacrifice and suffering, but also extraordinary courage. Those memories became the seed of my mission: to give voice to the voiceless and build a legacy of healing for generations to come
My path was never easy. I survived moments where life seemed impossible — even with only a fifty percent chance to live, faith carried me through. I worked across Ethiopia, Germany, and the United States, including more than a decade of service with Southwest Airlines, where I learned the true meaning of teamwork, respect, and perseverance. Along the way, I dedicated myself to humanitarian service, earning recognition and certificates that I carry with pride — not as medals, but as reminders that service never ends.
